The original "Osprey" was born in 1979. She was Wendy's very first Golden Retriever. Osprey was bred by Guide Dogs For The Blind out of San Rafael, California.   Osprey came to Wendy as a Guide Dog Puppy in training, when Wendy was a young girl involved  in her local 4-H club.

Osprey was eventually returned to Wendy from Guide Dogs  due to the difficulty she was having with the training as a future Guide Dog.

Osprey went on to live a wonderful long  life of 14 1/2 years as a cherished member of Wendy's family.

The kennel name Osprey Goldens was established in remembrance of this very special girl.
